Interesting.... I was taking a look at some of the aftermarket additions to ambient lighting, such as this vent cover, this screen frame, and this cup holder trim.
They all offer 11 colors.

I only need one colour, the blue... 🤣 I configured my car the same day I received it and never felt the need to change. Tested all of them but didn't like any other.

 

Oh I'm on the Azure color. That's a microsoft cloud name. Looks like i have 9 colors max.

 

In three years, I've changed it from blue once, on the way to a concert where the headliner is associated with a particular color. Don't ask me what band or what color, I seem to have Alzheimered the specifics.

 

Whoah! You saw Citrine in concert?! Must've been a great show.

Also: why, oh why, can't we use custom colors? Do they not have RGB values in Munich or something? And why are so many of the stock colors terrible? And speaking of Citrine: why? Does anyone actually pick that?

It's so stupid that I have to code my car just to get that wild, out there color, red. And why in the world wouldn't BMW have their iconic amber as an option? So much confusion.

So what are the stock colors? Blue, green, and varying shades of disappointment.

 

Set it to BMW night lighting orange (or the closest) and then forget it

I went with Flamingo and leave it there. Works with the red interior and (I hope) protects my night vision.
