Just picked up the i4 M50 today. BMW genius is rather clueless to any features on the vehicle. Are there any links to quick tips as to how to navigate the technology? Trying to turn off iconic sounds without having to go five push buttons deep into the icons.

Also anyway to quickly navigate to the favorites for media etc. Any general tips would be helpful.

If you turn off the iconic sound, does it come back on as the default when you go back into the car to drive again?

If you activate voice control on the steering wheel (or say hey bmw or whatever) and say "iconic sounds" a switch will come up to turn it on or off.

The big thing is learning how to use voice for most of the stuff. No menu craziness necessary!

Just make sure you don't accidentally ask for ironic sounds. It's like rain on your wedding day.

The quickest way is to go from Comfort Mode to Sports Mode via the dedicated console buttons and vice-versa. Comfort Mode has barely any sound, but when you go to Sports Mode IconicSounds are very apparent.

I looked at the menu approach and was like...I'm not doing that when I'm driving.

Even if there was a voice command, the drive mode buttons are faster and near 100% accurate.
