It was in the kit, but I just connected them directly, heat shrunk and taped over it.This is the one you had right? View attachment 33761
But white from car to yellow from the box, right? I was confused here, but found out the white one was power. So if something was soldered badly here it might have caused a short, but it’s also likely the box was faulty as it must redirect the power to the center console. I haven’t opened it, but since it redirects the power it might be something happening there. My guess though is that this wiring was not good enought (or faulty box), causing a problem. To be sure I would also change box, and open the one you have to see if something is fryed. It was in the kit, but I just connected them directly, heat shrunk and taped over it.
Yes, removed the white wire (pin 12) from the OEM connector and replaced it with the white one from the module, then spliced the white OEM to the yellow wire on the module. But white from car to yellow from the box, right? I believe you are bound to this type of module, but havent heard anyone else having issues when everything is connected correctly, so I would try it again - betting on a faulty unit, but that is your decision![]()
All the same as me, so must be something else.. Basically like winning the lottery..Yes, removed the white wire (pin 12) from the OEM connector and replaced it with the white one from the module, then spliced the white OEM to the yellow wire on the module.
Good point, I will have to open the module to see if something fried. I'll purchase a new one, but would rather purchase it from somewhere else.
Did you make any progress at the dealership?Yes, removed the white wire (pin 12) from the OEM connector and replaced it with the white one from the module, then spliced the white OEM to the yellow wire on the module.

Actually this hasn’t happened again in a week after installing this kit, may have just been a One off.Anyone fitted this then had the ‘increased energy consumption whilst parked’ message?
I just had it and betting it’s linked to this pulling power after the car sleeps?
I’ve had the m1/m2 retrofit installed for quite a while, and I’ve never seen that message. My guess is it’s a one off for you.Actually this hasn’t happened again in a week after installing this kit, may have just been a One off.
