Hmmm the new software/version is not fast and not furious anymore(?)

 

It’s definitely still under 3.8 seconds, I don’t need a GPS to tell me that, eDrive40 should be still under 5.4 seconds on 0-60mph time.

 

Are you sure you were in Sport Boost mode or Sport Individual with Boost enabled? After the last update, my "Sport Individual" suddenly became normal "Sport mode" until I cycled through the modes with the button.
I'll watch the G meter next time, but I think in Sport Boost it's the same as ever.

 

Yes, double checked. 1st thing I did was to check if it was in Sport Boost. What do you plan to see in the G meter? You don’t see the acceleration time?

I just drive, and when I push the accelerator, the car is fast enough.

I only care about efficiency and charging speed, but I suspect there are plenty of BMW i4 drivers that take their cars to the drag strip and/or race track.

 

I normally drive mi i4M50 in ECO PRO, but when I need/want, I put it in Sport Individual/Boost.
The acceleration change is quite big, (from approx 480 HP, to 544).
You don't need a drop strip or The Autobahn to feel the difference.

I am a little bit disappointed about the iX3 50 - with "only" 480 HP - I think I will wait for the more powerful iXM60.

 

Something is wrong with your car. I’d check the fault memory if you have a pro tool, if not, time to take it to the dealer.

Last night, I was on a highway and cars were doing the side by side thing at just below the speed limit. When I got a chance to pass....I gave it a little goose and was going 90 mph in a couple seconds....so I'm going to say that the performance on mine wasn't impacted by the software update.

I had the feeling that there was less power in acceleration and in sport mode the indicator sometimes does not reach 340hp....but I think the average consumption has been reduced........edrive 40 dec 2022

 

I just saw 569 lb-ft and 536 hp.

Just did an acceleration test and saw the full 795Nm and 544hp after the update. My car had not been affected at all.
Curious to find out what is was after your visit to the dealer.

Curious to see the left side of the screen behind the wheel......when you do this do you see the power gauge go all the way to 100% when you press it to the floor? Maybe something behind the pedal not allowing it to fully depress?

 

Definitely not the case that something is blocking.
It goes all the way to 100% and then the blue boost bar lights up until it goes down.

 

I have an e40, but it reset my lane keeping assist settings. I noticed it while driving to soccer on the weekend while all of a sudden the steering wheel was yanking against the direction I was steering (Streets are poorly marked in the U.S.) I disabled it again, so all good, but I haven’t noticed a loss in acceleration. I keep leaving cars in my rear view mirror as usual.

 

2023 M4 and the update for me also turned off Sport Boost and reset my steering assist settings to max assist. Both threw me off on my first commute after the update. Neither change was mentioned in the update info, so an update bug for sure.
