For those who are interested, I ordered an i4 M50 in San Remo Green and my BMW dealer has given me a link to a webpage where I can view photos and videos of my exact configuration.
The car in the pictures and videos is completely virtual but it represents the color way better than the screenshots from the car configurator.

Interesting that you get the m50 without the m steering wheel. I didn’t know it was an option (although I like the m wheel)

You're welcome! I really like Brooklyn Grey too, but it's a different kind of colour than San Remo. Green with brown interior is indeed a classy look, which is what I was looking for.
I don't understand why this combination is not more popular. My BMW dealer apparently only sells white and black i4's. o_O

Fantastic!
The interior is "Cognac", isn't it?
Thanks! :) The colour is indeed "Vernasca Cognac with black stitching".

I haven't decided about the color yet and it seems like a very difficult decision because the car looks good in all the colors.
My family and friends are rooting for Black, but that's their opinion about any car.:sneaky:

I like it in every color. White, as you see it in the brochure, Skyscraper grey as we saw it at L.A. etc.
I would also like a combination Aventurine Red with Vernasca Cognac interior.
But now that I saw Philippe's San Remo Green which looks fabulous, I'm totally confused

@Philippe The car looks f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c and you are right, the car configurator doesn't give it justice. But in those videos is stunning!!! Did your dealer told you if it is possible to create other "Digital Brochures" for other combinations of colors? Or it is just a treat for those who have pre-ordered it?

That looks stunning! Thanks for sharing. I'm also leaning towards the Green, but won't be chosing the M50 version. I love the combination with the Cognac interior, but I wanted ventilated seats which according to the configurator is not possible for the Cognac interior. Also, have you considered that the sun roof lowers the headliner quite a bit? Not don't know how tall you are but it felt a bit too confined for me so I won't be adding the sunroof.

Enjoy the car! Looks stunning! Please post pictures when you get it. Mind sharing what other options/packs you chose? I don't understand why the iX3 comes almost full option as standard and you have to add everything with the i4.

I think the proper way to judge a color is under sunlight. (So the light to have all the visible frequencies of electromagnetic radiation.)
You can't truly judge a color in a cloudy day, even if your country is usually...well...cloudy.

From the beginning I've noticed that the light in the configurator is in such an angle that one side is under "sunlight" and the other one has a cast of shadow. (Deliberately)

But Yes you can't decide on a color solely from the configurator. Look how different is Philippe's brochure from the color in th configurator. Huge difference.

Probably true. The issue with many modern colors is that they look very different under different circumstances. Dravit grey is a good example. I love it under certain conditions (bright, sparkly) and hate it under other conditions (very dull and monotone). Ideally a color should work well under all lighting conditions. But maybe I am just looking for the impossible.

I guess you are talking about this promo.
I've seen the iX in this color for real and I would say that in most shots it is a bit darker (a tad brownish even) than in real life. I think the shot at 50 seconds comes very close:

The shots in the sunlight, starting at 1m53s, look way too red to me. But then again, I saw it in a semi closed room (Zandvoort circuit pit boxes with open garage doors).

PS. why is this in the "green thread"?

We're ordering the exact same exterior and interior colors from the BMW dealership in Regina Saskatchewan Canada. They're letting us configure the car to our liking, will order it, use it as a demo for 3 or 4 months and then we take it at a discount. They were reluctant to order this color combination incase we decided not to take the car once we test drove it but after sending them some links to these color combinations i'd found on the internet, they agreed to order it this way. I really didn't want the black they had wanted to order as their demo car. Also I said..."green"...its the color of the environmental movement"...that seemed to finally tip the scale for what they were willing to have in their show room. Anyway...it's a great dealership and we're excited about the car.

PS...I see this is pictured with red brake calipers and not the blue as in the configurator. It looks much better than the blue.haha...Christmassy. Can you confirm this is what it will have?

Sorry to revive an old thread and hijack it, but I'm wondering if this has happened, or if the car is still coming? I'm in Regina, and really hoping for an opportunity to sit in an i4 and see if it actually fits me comfortably.

Hey Danno

We didn't actually order beyond letting the dealer know what car to bring in as their demo. We've been telling them for the last 3 years that once BMW came out with an EV that was attractive to us that we'd like to have first dibs on the demo vehicle at a reduced price. Sure enough when the i4 was announce they contacted us and said we could configure the demo with the option to take it if we liked it, once it served as a demo vehicle for 3 or 4 months. So, we configured it and sent them the configuration and once they can order their demo, they'll order what we want. So...it's sort of ordered at this point. We've been clients of theirs for about 20 years now and have a great repore. This dealership has always been very accommodating to us and why we're quite committed to the brand.

Its a 600$ option in Norway. I still have blue on my Sanremo order, its the only thing im not 100% sure about atm. The M model still has some blue details on it, less than the normal version but around the BMW logos etc.. Maybe it will be alot with both red and blue details on the car..🤔

Looking at the picture above, what does people think of the red calippers?

In contrast to the blue in the headlights/small detail around BMW emblem on wheels and infront that the i4 will have. I think red makes it look wierd.. That pic confirms it to be honest..

Red looks better alone, but with the other blue details... 😅
