Sorry but that grill looks like a really bad idea to me.

There is a massive radiator that sits behind the grill (you can see it in the picture you posted) and the airflow is controlled by the slats behind the lower half of the grill. There is supposed to be no airflow through the top half of the grill.

More importantly, one decent stone through the top half of that grill is in danger of puncturing the radiator and leaving you with a significant bill for repairs.

how to remove a post?

Click on the vertical three dots at the top right of your post and select delete. I think you should have the option but not 100% certain as moderators get more options than other users so your options will be different.

You can also ask the moderators to do it but it is best to tag us using '@', e.g. '@J_P' then we get a notification. Believe it or not, we don't read every single post on the forum.

For people wondering if they should do this mod; it's actually very easy. You do not need to dissasemble the entire centre console. But you need to cut the power off entirely in the trunk and also disconnect the 12v battery. After that you're all good. Mounting will cost you half an hour at most.

If you ask me, it's a no brainer because I really dislike the blue gearshift covers and the blue start button. IMO the blue accents do not match the rest of the interior.

Just installed the ‘AliExpress’ front lip just out of curiosity, but to be honest I am quite pleased with how it turned out. Also installed the floating center caps.

CSL style grille

I've been searching high and low for a non-carbon fiber CSL style grill for the i4. Where did you get it? Was is a direct replacement or did you have to make any mods?

I've read the warnings from others about how having the top half wide open could be problematic but I'm ok with the risk.

I thought the same but none of CSL versions indicate they fit an i4; only ICE 4 series. That's not to say they don't or can't. That's why I was interested in hearing where @Deltaboy got his.

Sorry late response, I haven't had a chance to properly shoot the interior yet, but here's a screen cap from a clip I was working on, it's quilted. From what I heard from a BMW corp employee that we are 1of1 for the years. I just wasn't the one who ordered it, I got lucky that it never got delivered to the customer.

What do you mean by "It's quilted"?
