Crustrating that Canada gets all the good options available as a regular item, ut here in the US it is a custom request. Makes me want to try to import the car instead...

Was anyone in the US actually able to get the galvanic controls?

Anyone know what the option code for galvanic controls would be?

I just looked it up in my (german) order it's the option code S04U0.

its one of the (many) options I checked in compensation of laserlights not being avaialble
no idea if they are produced, i'm still waiting...

For whatever reason, the galvanic controls are standard when you option HK on the e40 over here. On the other hand, HK is standard on M50 BUT the galvanic controls are a US$1,200-ish option after the stupid local gov tax!!!!

They can be easily retrofit, but the OEM parts are like $500ish, really not sure if it’s worth it to do it.

Importing car from Canada will limit you getting extended warranty and service plan from BMW. Ask me how I know....

Also, Canadian purchases are having to sign contracts to not export the i4.
