When is production date confirmed?

I placed an order and submitted a deposit 2 weeks ago on March 8th. My dealer provided me with the build sheet (vehicle inquiry report) on that same day so that I could verify the build was correct. On the report it listed the production number and order status. The order status was 112 - scheduled for daily. The customer name on the vehicle inquiry report was not mine. When I asked about this, the salesman assured me that it was my build and that I am simply taking someone else's spot who decided to back out of his order. The salesman told me that the production date will be sometime in April 2022.

When I enter my production number and add the vehicle to My Garage, I can track the vehicle. When I click on Track My Vehicle, it indicates the status as:

SCHEDULED FOR PRODUCTION
The factory has scheduled production of your unique BMW.

The next step is "In Production".

My question is, when the status says Scheduled for Production, at what point does it actually state when the production is scheduled for?

Thank you.

I don’t believe MyGarage will ever show the scheduled date. You have to call the BMW genius line to get a production week (just have your production # ready).

Thanks. I called BMW Genius and they told me my production is Week 14 (April 4th).

My M50 arrived at the dealership, picking it up next Wednesday. It then 4 days detailing, ceramic coat, and interior coating[emoji2]
Nice.

Mine will be here in June/July.

What config did you get?

Carbon pack inside/outside, laser lights, upgraded tech pack, comfort pack, shadow line packs, 20" wheels and m sport seats.
portimao blue metalic, black interior, think that's everything [emoji3]
I could justify everything except the external CF. I didn't see the value at $2800 and I just went for the black trim.

I'm jealous, I ordered Aug 28th, 2021 and don't even have a production number [emoji53]
You are in the second pre-order wave.

I have a production number but my build date is in May. Car won't get here probably until July.

So you would still be waiting; just with a little more information.

This really is starting to feel like one of those popular rides at Disney World where you wait in a line outside, then under a roof, and then inside, and then you actually get to the real line!
And I just made a deposit yesterday!:D

What Wave am I in?🤔

It doesn't state the actual Production date ahead of time. When the vehicle begins production, the tracking info at BMWUSA.com just states Production Begins. I called the BMW Genius hotline (844-443-6487) to find out that information as mine was Scheduled for Production on March 25th. The rep on the hotline looked up my production number and said it goes into production the week of April 10-16. Since you have a production number, the build will likely start within 2-3 weeks from the issue of the production number. But call the Genius hotline for more info. That line is a bit weird because I kept telling the female British computer-voiced system I wanted my "vehicle production status", "she" kept saying "We heard - broken down, is that correct?" So, keep hitting 0 for operator multiple times until it puts you in the live representative queue.

This is not accurate.
A production number means there is allocation to build. You can sit with a production number and not be officially scheduled for production for months.

I have had a production number since Dec., the Genius say week 21 production but until it is "actually" scheduled that date is a glorified place holder.

A car will get scheduled in the factory 4-5 weeks before production actually starts.

It doesn’t show on the app. Log into MyBMW on the website. Go to garage. Click Add Car link. When it asks for VIN, there should be a link that say Vehicle still in production? Add production number instead.

UK Website might not offer that functionality. US site does.

Maybe try clicking the "Enter Code" tab?
