Thinking of getting a set of these in gunmetal. But would the 9,5" wide fit in the front and 10" in rear. If they do fit what would the suitable ET be? Or be on safeside and take 8,5s et25 for fronts and 9,5 et35 for rears.
I got a set of VMR wheels in 8.5 ET 25 and 9.5 ET 35, in 19" diameter. Though I don't have my car yet, but other members of the forum are running wheels with those exact specs. I think this is the optimal fitment for the i4 without needing spacers, it looks great. I think there are people who have gone wider without issue, but I don't know the exact offset you'd need.. for example 9.5 ET 38 up front would result in the same amount of "poke" on the outside, but you'd have an inch less inner clearance, and I'm not sure how much you'd need to clear the brakes. In the rear, 10" is the width of the 20" wheels that are available so it should be fine with the right offset, but when you get the big wheel package it also adds the little fender extensions so not sure how much poke you'd get. I'm sure the answers are buried somewhere up in this thread.

One thing is definitely look at the flow formed VMR wheels, like the V710FF or most of the 800 series wheels.. they have the right load rating for our cars and lighter and stronger than the cast wheels, so it should help the car feel lighter with less unsprung weight even when going for a bigger wheel. If you email Brandon (brandon at velocitymotoring.com) he will get you a great deal, probably get the flow forms for cheaper than you'd pay retail for the cast wheels.

I would recommend against 9.5 in the front. It would likely fit (with the right offset), but the issue would be the tires. 255 on a 9.5” wheel will be very stretched and any tire wider than that would negatively effect the range.

Hey where did your source those wheels pls, they look 👌. Are they 20’s?

slso what are the specs ET front and rear and load rating, etc?
Forza Performance Group. A few others on the forum have bought wheels from them as well, including these same replicas (in different colors). The specs of my wheels are:

Front: 20x8.5 ET25
Rear: 20x10 ET29
Load Rating: 800 kg

Which are the same spec as the factory 20” wheels (width and diameter), as I wanted to swap the 20” tires that came with the car (my car is still essentially new). However, I had them customize the offset, adding 10mm to the front and rear, so that I would not need to use spacers to get the flush look that I wanted. They will customize the offset (or just about any other parameter) to what you want.

And since I know someone will ask, the weights of these wheels, with the custom offset I got, are (without tires mounted):

Front: 24.4 lbs
Rear: 27 lbs

Don’t know what the factory 20” wheels weigh yet (will get the data soon, they are sitting in boxes in my garage), but I assume they are heavier than these wheels, which are forged. So for those who worry about range (and I am not one of them ;) ), these wheels should theoretically help some over the factory 20” wheel option for the i4.

any one have wheel size recommendation for a square set up on my e40? currently have the Msport wheels (and brakes) wanted to go square so I can rotate the tires.

also anyone running 18x9.5 + 35? found some used VMRs in that size but wanted to see how they fit. thanks

Thanks.
So 8,5 et25 for the front and 9,5 et33 for the rears it will be.

Finally the car is finished. The lowering is made with AC Schnitzer springs.

The wheels are forged 19" 8.5 ET25 with 245/40/19 101Y Michelin Pilot Sport tires all around.

They said that it will get a bit lower in the front when the springs settle.

That is such a unique combo! mostly blacked out, non M Sport with laser lights. Looks incredible! The silver wheels and lowering really bring it together!

Oh wow, those wheels combined with not blacking out the stripe on the side creates a totally different look than most people go for on a black car. I really like it!

Thanks! I didn't want the M sport package because I always thought it looks more elegant without it. And it's more like the concept car. That's why I'm very happy that it was possible to have the M sport steering wheel and dark ceiling. This is not possible anymore without the M Sport package.
The next thin may be the rear laser lights from the LCI. But that can wait.

Just had my new wheels mounted this morning! VMR V802 flow formed wheels 19x8.5 ET 25 and 19x9.5 ET 35 in anthracite metallic. Just picking them up I could tell there's at least a 5 lb difference with each wheel, even though the rears are half an inch wider. Stock hankook tires fit just fine. The metallic finish looks great, even driving through rain and gunk today they look more shiny and not "dirty". Big thanks to Brandon at VMR for hooking up a great deal!

Up next is a CF spoiler install, black badges, and ceramic coat on Monday. Then tints the following Monday. Will plan for more pics and a dedicated photo shoot when it's a little more complete. So far looking great! Love this car!

Hello everyone,

i am also looking to put vossen wheels on my i4 and planning to go 20’s any ideas on a good offset?
According to this For Sale listing:

If you get 8.5" wide up front, ET 25 is perfect (he is running ET 30 - 5 mm spacer), and 9.5" in back ET 35 is perfect. Exact same fitment as my VMRs down below.

Whether 19" or 20" diameter shouldn't matter as much, since theoretically you'd get slightly thinner tires to have the same rolling diameter.
