Noted you mentioned it's for a PHEV.

Looking at the picture/list again, this xtra boost is between comfort and sport boost. It looks like sport boost is still the most powerful setting(?)

Were there more than 1 item to enable for xtraboost? I could get it selected for a drivetrain option but when trying to select it as a mode it just skips over it.
I don't remember the exact option it was, but it was just one under comfort plus. You can only set it in sport individual. And with that sport boost can't be selected at all for individual. You can still toggle sport boost by tapping the sport button by the start button.

Thanks to Bimmercode, my vehicle is a Rolls-Royce that is only trapped in the body of an i4. In order to make the illusion perfect, I urgently needed Comfort Plus. With the adaptive M suspension, the effect is incredible. But that's not enough for me, because at the same time my vehicle is also an i4M 50. at least visually at first glance. So of course I had to have the Xtra Boost. No problem with an Idrive 40.

Does anyone know if auto headlights no longer work after coding anti dazzle with Bimmercode.

I coded this back on 11/2023.73 and Low Beams never stayed on in auto mode from what I remember.

Just got the 07/2024.55 for Plug and Go charging. The DRL stays on with low beams auto on and off depending on lighting like normal.

I then recoded the anti-dazzle but now the low beams don't turn off in auto mode. Doesn't matter if is bright outside nor does it matter if A High Beams function is turned on or off via the stalk neither. Low beams basically just stays on with DRL in Auto mode. I can still click off to turn off the low beams.

Just wondering if anyone else experience this before I reset the coding to factory and recode.

I caveat all that’s about to follow with the following: I do not have an idrive 8.5 car, and don’t have a mgu22 installed. My car is mgu21 (caps out at idrive 8.0). I have no idea what BMW’s actual plan is for software.

it seems to me that bmw is doing its best to lockdown its ecu’s (software modules), for all its cars. If bmw is successful in that endeavor- coding new functionality will be difficult at best. I hope that isn’t the case, but it’s trending in that direction.

what did you change to get those options in the i4 40?

I'm a bit late to the party but can you change how early the laser lights activate with bimmercode? Sometimes it's barely bright enough that they don't activate and sometimes up here in the north it's pitch black but since I can't go fast enough the laser doesn't activate either.

Also trying to read up on what comfort plus is, looks interesting.

Hi guys - new to the EV world and thoroughly enjoying my LCI i4 e40 with m sports package. Mine dont have laser headlights (only tail lights are) but I was able to successfully update for the anti dazzle coding and loving the difference!

i am interested to add these drive modes (Comfort + and Sports Boost) - i would appreciate if someone could direct me to the post with info on that. Thanks a bunch! :)

You won't be able to make those changes as the code is still locked for changes to the center display in iDrive 8.5. I really want Comfort + as well. My only hope is that BMW sees the number of people with 8.0 who have done it and rave about it and they decide to offer it via connected services for a reasonable price.

Would you be able to make a video of the new anti dazzle functionality in action? Many of us would love to see how it compares with that of the outgoing laser lights. Is it truly "pixel" technology like other cars, or is it still mostly just moving the light beams around, like the laser lights were doing?

I recently had to take the car in due to the sound system going out along with a bunch of safety controls. They ended up doing some reprogramming and replacing the RAM control module. I went to reprogram back my settings in Bimmercode and do not have access to the BDC, Advanced Safety, among a few other categories. I previously had access so I'm wondering how I can re-access these to reprogram my laser lights.

Anybody in the USA that owns a 2024 i4 w/laserlights and still able to enable anti dazzle lighting? Specifically, where it would dim the lights on cars, so I wouldn’t blind them, but still have the highlights on currently the car only turns on the highlights when there’s absolutely no one in front of me.

And if you did the 11/2024 OTA does it still work? Presumably after you redid the codeine again because from what I hear whenever OTA is sent out it wipes out any coding that you might’ve done before.

does the anti dazzle work on cars without the lazer lights? also for people that have an e40, have you been able to code the extra boost?

if I remember right, only the laserlight had the matrix ability to turn off sections of light. I so want to try it on my car, but I don’t wat to pay money when I can’t be 100% sure it’ll work.

Just got a 2025 i4 fresh off the delivery boat. When I go into BDC controller in Bimmercode I don’t see any option to disable the startup warnings. I see a bunch of other stuff.

Does this need an update on Bimmercode’s side or am I doing something stupid?

Can’t do it in iDrive 8.5 vehicles. Headunit ECU is not available for coding, and that’s the ECU you disable this, not BDC.

Stinks. Thanks for answering, I’ll cross my fingers that changes as time goes by.
There’s close to a 0 chance you’ll be able to ever do this even in the future. Some have mentioned there is a possibility in the future but they are mistaken.

I’ve explored the option, you need FDL coding to disable the warnings, VO coding only is and will likely only be the available option for HU: https://www.i4talk.com/threads/idrive-8-5-securecode-2-0-modules-now-can-be-coded.13422/

I haven't touched my bimmercode in a while and I've kept up with the software updates. I have a 2023 model with 8.0. Can I still use bimmercode to code in antidazzle and other stuff or with software updates did BMW lock it down? Apologies if this has been answered before.
