My father gets his new car today. He has a ChargePoint Home Flex on order, but delivery and installation are 4-6 weeks out. Until then, to charge at home, he could use the Flexible Fast Charger, but his only reasonably-placed 220v outlet is a NEMA 6-50 receptacle that goes to a 30-amp breaker. (It's usually for a welding machine.)
Until the ChargePoint is installed, can he safely connect the NEMA 14-50 pigtail of the Flexible Fast Charger to the 30-amp NEMA 6-50 receptacle via a "NEMA 6-50P to 14-50R EV Charger Adapter Cord" (such as amazon.com/14-50R-Charger-Adapter-Charging-Industrial/dp/B0BZCTCQGH/ref=sr_1_5?crid=3HV82PHZYD3R7&keywords=nema+6-50+to+14-50+adapter+ul&qid=1697820737&s=automotive&sprefix=nema+6-50+to+14-%2Cautomotive%2C70&sr=1-5) if he sets the car to request no more than 24-amps (i.e., 80% of the 30-amp breakers)?
