I am wondering whether I will end up paying VAT twice as it has 20% VAT on it at the checkout. It will be another £70 on top of if that is the case

You can look them up but I think the current rules are if the total cost is less than £140 the overseas retailer is supposed to account for the VAT but if it is more than that it is charged on import. I had the same issue with something I bought from Germany for £500. I told them they should take the VAT off but they said they had to charge VAT because they were VAT registered. They hadn't a clue and I reckoned it would waste my life (a) trying to get them to understand VAT rules and (B) doing anything about it. I paid the VAT twice.

5AS is not relevant for the grill. Only 5AQ, 5AU, 5DF and 5DN.

EDIT: I saw it was a fault in my schematic. The part numbers starts with 51, not 61.

Thanksgiving came early...got the grill stateside, am I the first over here with the OE version? Nicely finished part, this one happens to be made in Poland.

Installed! Quick and dirty photo below...I reused the existing DAPP radome by covering it with piano black PPF. If anyone has a Cricut or equivilent cutter and wants the SVG for the radome, I can send it to you. (EDIT: I actually have one spare vinyl cutout already done so if you want that one I can snail mail it to you, gratis...but first come first serve as I only have one!).

The install was easy, I just used my hands and fingers...no pry bars really, just gentle, slow pulls from the bottom up.

I'll do a better photoshoot when I have some free time but it does improve the look a lot!

EDIT: I now have a spare '22 M50 grill w/DAPP, msg me if interested in that one .

I don't believe there is a difference. You just have to make sure you order the right grill depending on what sensors you have.

The grill has same shape on the e35/e40/x40/M50. The only difference is the i vs. M badge.
