I had the cover wrapped (and all the silver dots). This should give you an idea what you can expect...
Very helpful, thank you!

I looked closely at those pre-LCI grill dashes and it looked a lot like silver paint was sprayed on. If the vinyl covering doesn't look quite nice enough, I'll probably just strip/sand the paint and attempt to polish the plastic underneath -- it looks to me like its polycarbonate plastic, just like the rest of the piano black trim.

I wrapped all BMW logos myself. You only need a piece of 3M Film (15€), a heat gun and a cutter (7€). Since I already had a heat gun it was the best solution for me. For the wheels I bought new caps.

If you need the dimensions for the blue rings for DIY please let me know.
Could you please give the measurements to me also.

I ordered the new grille, arrived yesterday. Thanks @Saltkjelen for the part numbers so I was able to order the correct one. This is 51 13 5 A79 D59 because I have DAP and PAP. I'm probably not gonna install it myself and might take a couple weeks to get it done professionally but I'll post as soon as I get it installed. While the AE grille looks great I personally wanted to go the official BMW route instead.

Looks awesome. Hope I can find one from a US based dealer.

Has anybody found a source of this in the UK (other than a BMW dealer)?

I was about to fit the AliExpress version but have abandoned that for the reason I gave here - Why to not buy the AliExpress grill

A lot of European parts sites won't ship to the UK because of the hassle with customs post Brexit 😞

Incredibly helpful. Thanks again!

What front plate holder would we use on Australian cars? We have various sizes and styles even within states but they are generally a wide thin rectangle like EU plates.

There is no P/N for Australian cars, so they must use one of the part numbers above. I can check an australian car if you can provide a australian LCI VIN.

Unfortunately there are none yet. They aren’t even available to order in the configurator. Some people have “placed orders” for delivery next year but are using the pre-LCI options.

Has anyone in the UK found a reasonable UK supplier. I've been quoted over £630 for the grill and radar cover. I tried a company in the US, it was much cheaper but they couldn't source it, saying it was NLA.

Hey J_P, it been a right pain to source this in the UK. I placed an order with Schmiedmann as I saw they do international shipping. The grill, dome, license plate with shipping and insurance came to around £455. Looks like I'm in for a bit of a wait, it's saying that they are expecting stock in the next 20 working days or so. I'll let you know how it goes, I've not imported anything in a while.

You'll likely get VAT and an import charge on top of that as well 😞
