NoJust wondering, prior to you connecting the yellow and white wires, were the M1/M2 buttons working already?
This particular coding sequence may not work in the G-chassis (it is from the F-chassis) however “easy entry” coding is available for the G2x from the G30.Doesn’t work on G series I don’t think…
The whole steering wheel is entirely different, and the buttons/cover would not fit...Does it work on a non-M eDrive 40 steering wheel? What should I buy then?
Nicely done!! One thing.. Point 2b and c, that's the HV battery disconnector itself, NOT 12V!!! Please fix...I've made an installation guide with pictures and links to how-to videos. Hopefully this makes it easier for others moving forward.

M1 M2 with the retrofit kit worked like a charmSwitching between all the diving modes like it should, it came with additional functions like, seats moving back at ignition off and auto window closure when ignition off, I didn't like those function but it can be programmed off.

I have the Eibach springs already, but can't lower the car just yet because don't want to deal with possible warranty issue, will have to wait till after the first service. And can only access the suitable spacers then...

The M1 M2 retrofit kit requires you to take apart the OEM buttons and replace the PCB inside, and the PCB is attached to a wireless transmitter fitted into the steering wheel. And then you'll need to remove the shifter console cover and add a piggyback receiver module to the driving mode buttons. So basically, it's a 100% harmless but yet very functional mod. Highly recommended!
The errors were on the main screen and not when pressing the buttons, iirc. They're gone now, so hopefully they won't come back. The only one that actually causes a problem was the wiper one when it was raining. I doubt that's related though. Maybe a trip to BMW is in my future. Are you getting errors on ID screen or you're running ISTA or scanner?? I've never gotten any error pop up, only an "unexpected slave" error when scan with ISTA/scanner... And it can only be pick up after the M1/M2 is pressed, it won't see it if the buttons are not press after clearing. I don't think it's related, monitor it a few more days, if it repeats then remove the receiver to see if it's fixed?

No. Those are optional. I'll update the guide to reflect that. Thanks for the guide
One question: Is it necessary to get the new steering wheel trim (4. or 5. in the parts list) to fit the M1 and M2 buttons?
Ok, looks like even tho the buttons came in I still gotta wait for the module thenThe module is NOT OEM, and yes, Aliexpress is the cheapest for essentially the same module available else where.
