It’s fine in the UK at present. I charged mine overnight and the car and App agree. As BMW use a cloud system, it could be the North America instance that’s having a little lay down. I’ve noticed the BMW also do server side updates at weekends, but as with their OS updates, never tell anyone anything.

I’ve not noticed any issues with the ConnectedDrive. I’ve not had to charge mine though.

Wishful thinking that BMW software engineers will read this forum and rectify any bugs. You should report any issues directly in the My BMW app:
  • Lower right hand corner ‘person’ icon
  • App Feedback
  • Problem with the App
Good idea. Reported the feedback on the app as you suggested

I have also reported the charging issue via the app feedback. Thanks for the info.

I just realized that my BMW App is stuck in displaying this morning’s charge state and unlock doors.

I’ve tried killing the App, connecting the phone to the car and launching the car, logging out and back into the App. But it hasn’t worked.

any ideas?

I'll bet this is an outage on BMW side today as I have the same. Just need to wait for them to fix.

Likewise. I've tried rebooting the iDrive unit. The charging history shows last night's charge. It's just the Home Screen charge level that's stuck for me. Other functions, such as changing charging settings, locking and unlocking the car, etc all seem to work just fine. Definitely seems to point to a partial outage on the BMW backend servers.

Wow, let’s hope BMW SysOp gets out of bed soon so he can restart the stuck server.

The easiest way to reset the status is to send a lock/unlock command. It's not constantly updated, but rather pulled, on demand only.

Also works better when the servers are up.

Same issue here. bad SOC data from myBMW app after the update. tried reboots of car and phone. no avail

Me too.. it was ok all along (even after the 11/2023 update) until this afternoon.

Because I work in IT…reset car, reset phone, make sure privacy settings are correct, unpair car and phone, think “this is probably a server issue” check reddit, check forums (bingo)!! Wash car
The truth is that they should not do updates before they are really sure they work.

Yes, well put. I also verified that the charging history is correctly displayed in my case. Took a drive and saw that my trip statistics were also properly noted. It is only the home screen SOC that is not being updated.

Same. We have been charging to 100% because of driving into a charging desert. Currently says we're at 99% but vehicle says 67%.

I was enrolled in ChargeForward but unenrolled after seeing this fiasco.

Same here. None of the resets did anything. It also shows my car parked on the interstate, which is kind of funny. Upgraded to 11.2023 last week.

I'm having the same issue. It's still displaying the SOC from 3 or 4 days ago, even though I have charged maybe 6 times since then. I'm not having any problems charging the vehicle, though, and the Charge History and My Trips history in the app is up-to-date. 🤷‍♂️

My update is 03.2024
On at least one other thread, the idea has been floated that these issues are unique to North America. If that is the case, perhaps the issue is with BMW's cloud service and not the software rollout.
