Bought the BimmerTech Alphaone Amp upgrade it's installed and setup.

2 things im not getting any power to the amp the light is not on so I'm guessing somehow blew a fuse.

Also is disabled my assisted driving, as well as all noises in regard to audio, stereo, door gongs, backup noise, blinker noise, cannot hear anything.

I checked all the fuses in the trunk that are assosciated with Sound system or head unit. All seem good.

I'm waiting to hear back from bimmertech tech support for solutions.

I'd love to not take it to the dealership but if its what i have to do i will.

Any other fuses in regard to the I4 audio system i can check?

As per the instructions its not required to disconnect the 12V battery so i did not do that

.

When i arrived to work i did disconnect the 12v for a minute hopoing i can just reset everything.

I have yet to get back into the car and check it.

Has anyone else had anything similar and or any suggestions?

Thank you!

Hold on, Bimmertech's instructions say NOT to disconnect the 12v battery? What the what? Even basic Crutchfield instructions for speaker installs tell you to disconnect the 12v battery in an ICE car, let alone an EV.

Maybe the RAM harness connection is not fully seated? If I recall correctly, Bimmertech's RAM harness includes power since it's using the factory wiring, right @i4.phil?

@xyrBimmer yeah I thought that's the RAM harness that has power included (mild upgrade) (?) Let's see what the bimmertech support says to try next.

Yeah, and I recall a member in an old thread saying that they were scratching their head for a while because after their amp install they weren't getting any audio and it ended up being that the RAM harness wasn't seated all the way, even though it looked like it was.

I saw something similar to that before. The car is in the shop got a bunch of errors when I turned the car on to test for audio. It’s definitely feels seated I tried to push it in very firmly. We’ll see what the dealer says for now. happy to provide the instructions from bimmertech clearly states it’s not necessary as it shouldn’t harm anything

There is a long thread that explains how and why to disconnect the HV before the 12V. I'll post a link if nobody beats me to it.

The short answer is that if you don't, the repairs get very expensive.
