Passenger seat heat is weak

I am the proud owner of a 2023 i4. My passenger is complaining that their seat heat is weak. It takes well over 15 minutes to start feeling the heat when set on high. Anyone else experienced this? The driver heat comes on fast. Just wondering if a service call is in order.

Thanks,

Tim

The fact that the passenger and drivers seats are different is concerning, probably warrants a service call.

Otherwise I would say try changing driving modes from Eco Pro to Comfort or Sport and see if it makes any difference.

Yeah wondering if it's in the Eco Pro mode... known to heat slowly and cool real slowly too.

It depends how cold it is and how the seat heating is adjusted. If it is set to low then it might take a while before you can sense it when it is very cold. It also depends on your passenger. I mean, I normally don't want any, or very low heat for my bottom, but my wife can very well complain that it is too cold and she sets the heating to maximum for a short while if we start in very cold weather and the car is not preheated.

Have you checked the passenger side complaint settings?
If that's set too high, you'll get excessive noise from that side of the car regardless of any weather conditions.
Perhaps turning on the preconditioning 15 minutes before departure when you know that this passenger will be present would help.

Keep in mind, the most likely issue here is the relative calibration of the butts in the seats, not the seats themselves.

Has OP ever sat in the passenger seat to let them see if the described issue is "above the seat" or the seat itself?
