I just took delivery of my i4 M50 yesterday. What a car! Can’t stop smiling on my way back home.
Anyway, I was inspecting the trunk earlier today to see what accessories were under the trunk carpet. I found a black, rubbery item located just behind the rear seats. It feels cool and soft to the touch and contains some kind of liquid. Does anyone know what its purpose is? I'm wondering if it could be the coolant reservoir for the rear drive unit, as I can't find any information about it.
I'm asking because I also discovered some deep scratch marks on the object. It appears that the outer black layer is damaged. I'm concerned that it might eventually leak.
I did my best to take a couple of pictures, but my garage is rather dark.
