Yes Idrive 40 was San Remo Green and IX was Avanturin Red.
How was the aventurine red on the iX? Maybe too ...red ? or maybe more like a ...Burgundy (darker)? Or...

I'm considering it for the i4 with the M-sport exterior.
I've seen many photos and videos and every time (like most difficult colors, including the San Remo green) looks different. Obviously the lighting etc. etc.

But what was your impression of it?
Is a "serious" color or an "elegant" color or a "sporty" color or...

I have seen the new 4GC in Aventurine red and I think it looked very nice. I don't know what words to describe it, but Serious and Elegant definitely, and then "a car with a color". Not just black (which I have ended up with), grey or white...

I'm not a person who would drive a red car, but this could have been the one.

Me too. All my cars were/are Black, Dark grey, Dark blue and such.

The i4 (especially the M sport version) make me lean towards the Aventurine Red.
I liked it in the promo video of 4GC (looks serious and elegant and not the vibrant "Ferrari" red) but in every other photo or video looks completely different.

I guess you are talking about this promo.
I've seen the iX in this color for real and I would say that in most shots it is a bit darker (a tad brownish even) than in real life. I think the shot at 50 seconds comes very close:

The shots in the sunlight, starting at 1m53s, look way too red to me. But then again, I saw it in a semi closed room (Zandvoort circuit pit boxes with open garage doors).

PS. why is this in the "green thread"?

We're ordering the exact same exterior and interior colors from the BMW dealership in Regina Saskatchewan Canada. They're letting us configure the car to our liking, will order it, use it as a demo for 3 or 4 months and then we take it at a discount. They were reluctant to order this color combination incase we decided not to take the car once we test drove it but after sending them some links to these color combinations i'd found on the internet, they agreed to order it this way. I really didn't want the black they had wanted to order as their demo car. Also I said..."green"...its the color of the environmental movement"...that seemed to finally tip the scale for what they were willing to have in their show room. Anyway...it's a great dealership and we're excited about the car.

PS...I see this is pictured with red brake calipers and not the blue as in the configurator. It looks much better than the blue.haha...Christmassy. Can you confirm this is what it will have?

Its a 600$ option in Norway. I still have blue on my Sanremo order, its the only thing im not 100% sure about atm. The M model still has some blue details on it, less than the normal version but around the BMW logos etc.. Maybe it will be alot with both red and blue details on the car..🤔

@Ultrachrome interesting... i did not know Dealers could do this. I heard that for us Canadians the ofdicial orders open up in November. Did you get to order your specs ahead of everyone else? Oh and welcome to the Forum!
Hey Danno

We didn't actually order beyond letting the dealer know what car to bring in as their demo. We've been telling them for the last 3 years that once BMW came out with an EV that was attractive to us that we'd like to have first dibs on the demo vehicle at a reduced price. Sure enough when the i4 was announce they contacted us and said we could configure the demo with the option to take it if we liked it, once it served as a demo vehicle for 3 or 4 months. So, we configured it and sent them the configuration and once they can order their demo, they'll order what we want. So...it's sort of ordered at this point. We've been clients of theirs for about 20 years now and have a great repore. This dealership has always been very accommodating to us and why we're quite committed to the brand.

Yes....I completely ignored it , as it's out of my price range...but after driving cuv and suvs, i still like the handling a sedan provides.
It is also out of my budget, I was just curious to check it when those demo will at my dealer on Nov.25 ;)
I will take some photos to show to my friend!

For those who are interested, I ordered an i4 M50 in San Remo Green and my BMW dealer has given me a link to a webpage where I can view photos and videos of my exact configuration.
The car in the pictures and videos is completely virtual but it represents the color way better than the screenshots from the car configurator.

Wow, Philippe, that green looks amazing!!!
I configured mine in Brooklyn Grey and forwarded it all to the lease company, but I'm still waiting for approval from my company for the installation of a charging point at home. So the actual order hasn't gone through yet.
But now that I see the San Remo Green, I think I will change the order.... That San Remo green looks stunning!

And yes, here in Belgium, the dealer sends you a (temporary) link to some pictures and videos of the exact configuration of your car. My car is not as well equipped as the one from Philippe because the lease budget didn't let me.
I will remain more standard on the looks of the car: 18" rims, no sunroof, no leather interior, no laser beams.
I'm more into the electronics stuff: Harman Kardon, Driving Assistant Pro, Parking Assistant Pro, Navigation Pro.
