Just watched a bmwblog video about the new 2 gc.
The car is a "mid" nor dark nor bright color, has darker wheels yet it has ...shiny aluminum trim!

What do you think?
I am not a fan of dark-colored wheels, I think it ruins most cars designs. A machine-polished gunmetal wheel would have matched it great!

FWIW, I ordered mine in San Remo green and had/have the same doubts. But when I look at the rest of the colors there simply isn’t an alternative for this model in my opinion.

I only had black and grey cars, safe but also a little bit boring. Especially in a country where 97% of the cars are in the same shades.

I never looked at them with ‘pleasure’ and I never got a compliment about how great the car looked.

My wife’s 17year old VW golf in Somelier red is mind blowing every time she washes it. Its like falling in love again every week and people who see it are genuinely surprised and give compliments all the time.

Now I sound jealous 🤣

But the good thing about the looooong waiting time is that you can change it after seeing some on the road. Mine is only expected to be built in 2023 so this summer I’ll decide if I’ll change to a safer color.
Happy there is someone else struggling with this decision. My wife is already annoyed by it ;)

At least dravit is not all grey. It has a nice golden hue in the sunlight. View attachment 4222

Same as the sanremo has the bright green hue in the sun:

this is what I am afraid could be tiresome to look at after a longer time…
I bean my order with SR Green, changed to Brooklyn Grey, now back to SRG. I’m done with 50 shades of grey, my other favourite colours are tanzanite blue and aventurine red. But SRG just looks so great in person and changes with the light, I’ll never tire of it.

I never had any doubt about black, grey or white - too common. Even the Portimao Blue is very cliché BMW, I would have considered Tanzanite Blue; Red and Orange are too conspicuous, so I ended up with Sanremo green almost by default - and I kind of like the idea of a green car in more ways than one. And then I saw videos of the car in different lightings and I was hooked. Now, on March 19 I have an appointment with the BMW i4/iX tour, and I think the i4 is Sanremo green, the same car that was in the Chicago car show, so I'm very excited for my wife to see it as well.

ooooh,I love the interior. Is that the Cognac?? I wish I could have gotten the ventilated seats in Cognac.

Hi, yes that’s Cognac interior. Today I checked an edrive 40 in San Remo Green with perforated sensatec Cognac interior in a Belgian showroom. Stunning color. Perfect match with Cognac if you ask me.

That is a great combination. However this super annoying too!!!! UK configurator doesn’t allow cognac leather on an edrive 40!!! But just a couple of hops in Belgium and it’s allowed! This is just BMW UK marketing bull****.

@Heis 3360, these are great pictures, I especially like the lighting, among the best pictures of the Sanremo Green and Cognac leather interior I have seen so far. Thank you very much for posting. This is exactly the color combination I ordered, though mine will be (might be?) an M50.

Hi MinhSATx, your welcome. Happy you like the pics. That’s a great choice you made. It’s also my combination but on the edrive 40. In real life and in sunlight that green is amazing. Real pictures are so much better to show the true color than the configurator and the digital brochure.

I’m very torn between the SRG and Portimao Blue. I was hoping the demo car was going to be in SRG, but was white. I’d really like to see the SRG in person. I verified that the dealer doesn’t even have any orders for any SRG cars. But that SRG with Cognac seems great.

I have also ordered an M50 in SRG/Cognac with carbon fiber trim. Week 23 build. Stunning combination, I think, although I have seen neither the SRG nor the cognac in person at the local dealers. I also like the Canberra Beige interior, but I am leaning more towards sticking with the cognac. Great pictures, everyone!

We're ordering the exact same exterior and interior colors from the BMW dealership in Regina Saskatchewan Canada. They're letting us configure the car to our liking, will order it, use it as a demo for 3 or 4 months and then we take it at a discount.
Sorry to revive an old thread and hijack it, but I'm wondering if this has happened, or if the car is still coming? I'm in Regina, and really hoping for an opportunity to sit in an i4 and see if it actually fits me comfortably.

What did you think of the San Remo Green? I still haven't had a chance to see in person.

It was too dark for me, that's why I didn't order it. I ordered the sunset orange, which to me even that is a little dull. I like the brighter colors, but I'm not going to pay individual prices for a different color. My current car is a bmw 2016 Melbourne Red Metallic. Easy to find in the parking lot. Unless its bright sunlight where the green will really sparkle, I don't think its going to stand out in a boring sea of black white and gray vehicles I usually see.

Your local dealer should have an San Remo i4 demo in there… most of the M50 demos are in San Remo:
