The last rumor I’ve seen say Hyundai access in Q1 2025. So does that mean this month?

Will that include Genesis and Kia? That would leave just BMW and JLR in the pending list.

the suspense is unbearable…
My husband has a Genesis GV60, and it looks like Genesis officially got access a few weeks back, not long after Hyundai and Kia. Genesis is in the process of sending out the emails for owners to confirm their addresses to receive the free adapter. We haven't gotten ours yet, but seeing lots of people in the Genesis groups getting them.

still crickets from BMW/Tesla about SC access.... any bets on whether it'll be 2026 before we see access?

[Looks at calendar]

Still not Octember 43rd, so not any delay past the announcement date AFAIK yet.

Weasel words are all we ever got from BMW, so until 2026, its not "late."

9/5/25, Porsche just announced Supercharger access...

Embarrassing that BMW still can't figure it out. Especially with all the hype about the ix3.
We have no idea whether the BMW access delay is on account of BMW, Tesla, or something about the relationship between the two.

Although skip to 38:24 here if you want to add insult to injury:

True we have no idea but I would bet on BMW software people as well as insistence on BMW supplied adapters.

Not sure why you'd presume the fault lays with BMW?
One of the two involved companies has been known to consistently have issues with meeting deadlines, and it's not like the CEO of BMW fired the entire staff of the EV division in a fit of pique or cancelled entire models on a whim.

Seems far more likely BMW is ready to go and someone at Tesla was forced to (or chose to) resign, but they had all of the necessary passwords to effect the access, or some other equally ludicrous cause.

Nah. BMW has delayed it. I blame BMW. 😁

Because BMW makes the car and BMW made the promises about access. And whatever demons are involved in working with Tesla, almost every other OEM has figured it out.

It seems to me that BMW doesn't value their EV customer experiences as much as other OEM's who have the technical and managerial competence to implement the compatibility.

According to BMW NA, and the iX3 info that launched this morning, Supercharger access is coming at the end of 2025, and the 2027 iX3, to be released in the US in the summer 2026, will have a NACS port. So, they're kinda committed at this point, I think.

Octember 43 is the correct technical term You need to read back in the threads on tesla access to get familiar with them.

Nein. BMW now says Dec 31, 2025.

Perhaps. But either way, BMW is not supplying the adapters and instead just affixing its logo to an adapter from a third party. The new Porsche adapter is just the latest Lectron adapter but with the Porsche logo. And oddly enough at a $10 discount, for the reverse of the usual Porsche Tax.

If BMW is only outlet to purchase BMW adapters it is fair to say they are supplied by BMW, just like then Chinese OBC in i4 is supplied to owners by BMW.

Sure, BMW will sell them and BMW will place its logo on them. But it’s not like BMW is providing specs unique to its cars or manufacturing them.
