Not sure but that’s kind of irrelevant to CA’s problems. The rolling black outs aren’t because there isn’t enough power available it’s because the grid can’t handle the strain of the power being pulled by the users. Those aren’t the same thing

In recent years, rolling black outs were also due to wildfires and public safety power shutoffs (PSPS).

Yes, due to hysteria that is so passe, nuclear plants were scheduled to close in places like CA and Germany. They are considering to reverse those closures.

Even Japan is reopening plants they closed.

Per this report it seems like there is a supply issue during peak hours. It is not just because the grid cannot handle it. As California transitions to clean energy they are not able to supply enough during peak hours.

There you go. Unfortunately, as much as Gavin would like you to believe, “green energy resources” obviously cannot carry the energy burden at this moment. Did not one of California’s grid operators just announce to avoid using large appliances and avoid charging your electric cars over the coming holiday weekend? Just what I would want to hear if I just purchased an electric car there.

last time i checked, 2035 is still 12 years away - what was your cell phone like 12 years ago? what was your laptop/computer like 12 years ago - how much was a flat screen TV 12 years ago (or how flat was the flatscreen 12 yeras ago) ? I can go on - i have enough faith in humanity that we will have some kind of advancement in 12 years time. I assume that we will not live of the same grid, same transmission, same infrastructure in 12 years...

I would not listen to anything Tucker Carlson says or most of his associates. All car manufacturers are committed to only making EVs in the future so there will be plenty of charging stations. With Tesla now opening their charging stations to non-Tesla vehicles there will be plenty.

He has a point. CA can not handle the grid now how they hell they going to handle it later? It has been this way for years in that state and nothing has changed. I suspect it will not change in the next 10 years either. Terribly ran state.

It is for the hours of 4pm-9pm through Friday Sept 9. This called for minimizing all electric use from AC to Appliances to Lights. This has been typical for us in Southern CA over the past few years.
Unfortunately this is being highly politicized.
