I have this one as well.

And lately my windshield wipers have started to whine soothly.

 

That's really crazy! How is it they can't replicate? That's obviously an issue.

 

whoa! That's a serious problem.

 

My pure guess would be something like an air con pipe is touching part of the vehicle body. Any difference if the a/c is on or off?
Hope your dealer experiences, finds and rectifies it.

 

Kinda sounds like a fan blade hitting something?

 

I got the same feeling give the frequency.

This vibration isn’t speed related correct?

 

Maybe just get someone circling outside to find it.

 

I have the same sound exactly, I believe its the heat pump. I will have it looked at on my next service, its a kind of annoying sound that comes and goes.

 

I have the same issue.
After sending a video to my BMW dealer here in Sweden they recommended to have it looked at.
However they could not reproduce the problem and I ended up having to pay for this.

Problem still exists and is often reproduced at slow speeds when temperature has been around freezing temperature.

 

I have the same issue. New car starts with rumble when startup, the was silent. Service have replaced my heat pump, now it is different, but worse. Car slighty vibrates (in pulse) to the steering wheel and to the body, with annoing low noise. It is noticeble when standing on traffic lights. I will put it back to the service.

 

i have the exact same noise issue with my 2024 i4. fan rattling noise at low speed or when stopped.
@i4Canada, did the dealership fix it for you? How was it fixed?

 

Wow, crazy how time flies and this was a year

for anyone else looking at this issue, they said it’s a known issue and were able to replicate it with other cars.

It requires putting some insulation foam around some piece (can’t remember) but believe it was the heat pump. Other folks came forward in my local area with it and got it addressed as well.
