Same, floor mat and cargo mat. Believe it or not, one of the better ones encountered. Most cargo mats are usually plastic and not rubber and things tend to slip and slide. Not the BMW ones! VW brand (Audi, Porsche) are plastic and tend to also not hold up well.

 

Weird question maybe, but do the rubber mats smell? I often find that with rubber, especially when it gets warm, for instance when the car was in the sun.

 

Tint was the first major upgrade. The floating center hubs for the wheel still need to go on.

I do love that the BMW trunk mat tends to keep things from sliding around. Tint was next. I have a small tray in the center console. Frunk is here and ready to install. body-colored replacements for the orange reflectors is ordered. There's also a screen protector waiting to be installed, too.

"Frunk"?!? I'm intrigued... there's an aftermarket Frunk available?! (funny, re: the screen protector... I realized after a couple of weeks I still had the factory screen protector on, and I haven't yet removed it - the only give-away is a white border down the left side... one day I'll peel it off)

That trunk mat looks good - I've got the front and rear ones, but not the trunk... may order. I do like something less industrial in the summer though, so have switched out to the summer mats, though they don't seem like they will be super durable. Time will tell.

I did light ceramic tint, ppf on the front end (including the headlights), and ceramic pro... no other mods yet... enjoying the car immensely though!

My favorite purchase has to be my spoiler. I found the factory spoiler really lacking.

I was toying with the idea of buying one of those Android boxes that allow full Android access on the screen, but since BMW only supports wireless Android Auto/Carplay, I don't think those boxes would support connecting to my phone's hotspot for data; I'd likely have to add data just for the box, or keep swapping sim cards with my phone. If I had bought that and was able to access Netflix/Youtube on the car's screen with minimal audio lag (only while I'm charging, of course!), that would be my favorite purchase!

I did ceramic film across the top of front windshield. Still debating on doing ceramic film for all the windows. I did do the Ceramic wax on the exterior paint, decided not to do the PPF. I added Alloygators to the wheels, mostly for aesthetics, but it does offer some curb protection for your wheels as well. lol
I installed the BMW trunk mat, but went with after market floor mats front and rear to match the Mocha ventilated seats.

 

I have ceramic tint on all windows and it really helps keeping the heat out.

I have a couple of years old dashcam that I'll install until a significantly better one comes to market.

Oh yeah, I also installed a gate across my driveway to keep the car from thieving eyes, and a tent to somewhat keep the car out of the weather.

Too much time has passed since I ordered, clearly.

What about the frunk? I am waiting on mine arrived from Germany.

 

PPF full front, door handle wells and edges. Ceramic tint all around. Looking to see what I can do to "spice up" the 18" wheels. Grey doesn't really do much for the overall look.
Other than that, I'm quite pleased with the way the car was put together.

 

Not too much really... ceramic tint all around (20% doors and rear, 55% windshield), ceramic coating of entire car, PPF on grill, BMW All weather floormats, 12V USB fast charger and an Apple AirTag for the fobs.

Got the glass screen protector for the display. No more smudges and it applied pretty easily.

Over the last couple years and EVs w/touch screens I've yet to scratch one. And being able to use the idrive buttons instead of the touch screen saves smudges as well as is less distracting.

 

I'm thinking of getting this BMW back seat storage unit for additional storage while on road trips. Has anyone else gotten one and how is it working for you?

 

Maybe if you only have one passenger in the back. The seat room is so limited that this will take up a lot of that space.

 

I’ve enjoyed the Frunk on my current EV for easy access to little things that I want to keep out of sight but at ready access (vs, for example, putting under cargo floor which can be covered with heavy luggage etc.). Bummer for me that in addition to the after-market one not being available on the M50 because of second motor, it is also not available on my on-order e40 because of the M-sport suspension. Shucks.

 

You can get it for your e40 with the M-Sport suspension. I have the suspension and installed mine today. Search for "wokeby" on the forum and look at the last page. I have put installation pictures.

 

I also received my little cubby today. Gonna attempt the install tomorrow morning!

Any idea what the part number is on the trunk/cargo mat? Can’t seem to find it on the BMWusa site.

 

Mine arrived yesterday. I plan to use it for my key fob and Credit card pouch/money clip

 

Due to a special unrelated circumstance, I used mine for the fob yesterday and thought “oh that’s handy, there’s a good use for it.”

 

Any difference between any of these center console bins on Amazon? There are about 40 sellers now with prices ranging from $10 to $40.

 

They looked the same to me, so I went for the $12 one. Hopefully quality is the same!
