Mine also pools, but the action of the wipers seems to drive it up to the top of the windshield, so the cleaning effect looks the same as my other cars. I like that it pools so it doesn't spray the car behind me.

I asked this when I brought it in for an unrelated service. I got told that pooling is working as expected.

 

You are right, “pool at bottom“ you describe means that it works correctly , it’s a BMW system……

 

For years, I have thought my Mini's washers were defective.

 

The point is to not temporarily hinder your sight line with the large splashes on the windshield.

 

Not sure if this is the best place to post this about the windshield wipers.
Drove through a couple hours of heavy rain last night. The wipers were doing double time to keep up. I couldn’t believe how quiet they were! Turned off Spotify and still couldn’t hear them. Add this to the overall quiet ride of this amazing vehicle.

I thought there was something wrong with my windscreen washers yesterday. I popped the bonnet (hood) to see if the jets were blocked by leaves or dirt and I topped up the washer reservoir, but I couldn’t find anything amiss. Now I know why. There wasn’t!!

 

I thought the same on my way home from delivery, I actually pulled off to check on them. It doesn't seem quite as elegant as the MB Magic Vision Control, but it works well enough.

If only we could get some heated wipers now.... I've been in a few storms where I had to shut the wipers off with the front defrost cranked all the way up to let them de-ice every few minutes, much more annoying than the spray, but I'm definitely curious to see how these preform in the winter.
