I believe Ronal makes oem wheels for Mercedes.
At least my 2014 E -class had Ronal stamped on the original wheels.

Edit: and the teddy bears would be cool 😅
Ronal makes BMW wheels aswell. Both sets for my G30 is made by them.
Yep, they're a major wheel manufacturer for OEMs. No big teddies though. Sad.

I absolutely love their R10 and R50 wheels. Not sure of weight, though. Ronal isn't known for lightness.

One way to go might be to find some custom forged wheels.

Anyone find any companies doing some forged wheels for the i4 M50 yet?

I contacte HRE but they havent got any measurements yet.... Would like to get a 20" wheel that is super light weight yet can handle the weight of the M50!!! thats the problem it seems.

BC Forged has light wheels for the i4, full custom to your specs.

What do you guys think about those in 19 inch?

The load ratings seem to fit with 815kg. I wrote them to ask how heavy they are. OOn the moepage it's stated from 10kg upwards. I guess the 10kg are for the 18" wheels.

I would go with 20 but I'm afraid the ride will be too harsch and the range will take a huge hit.

Range takes a hit if you have sticky tires.
Low rolling resistance tire.

Waiting on my Tanzanite M50!

Ok, bad news. I was at the dealer today because my charging cable was not working properly. However, as I talked to him I mentioned that I'm looking for aftermarket wheels. He said I shouldn't buy them because it will void the warranty for everything related to the suspension/drive train and so on. Only original BMW wheels that are made for the i4 won't void the warranty.

So now it seems I have to wait 4 years to change the wheels, put on spacers? Come on BMW.

Spacers can’t possibly void the warranty. That’s total bull**** if that is what they are saying.

even changing the wheels sounds like total BS. Where is an official statement from BMW that says this?

The BMW service guys said that. They said if you bring your car for example do to suspension noises, BMW will ask what wheels tires and what else isn't original and then decline it if there are not original parts like the wheels, spacers and so on. I guess I have to write to the HQ to get an official answer.

That does not make sense. So many bmw’s change their wheels. I’ve had spacers on every single bmw I’ve owned. Only 5 of them but the dealer never had issues with this. Would like to see some kind of official statement from bmw that actually says that this would “void” your warranty. That is just so hard to believe

Not sure where you are, but here in the IS that is not the case.

The Magnuson-Moss warranty act specifically says that for an auto manufacturer to void any.part.of the warranty, they must prove that the non factory part caused the problem. The fact that the part is non factory cannot be the reason for voiding the warranty.

The part must be the direct cause of the problem.

I had to order the 18 inch standard wheels that come with the M50, due to limited lease budget.
My first thought was to install 20" O.Z. Leggeras, but their weight rating is to low (700kg).
So my second option will probably be the 20" O.Z. Superturismo Dakars in Matt black.
Those have a load rating of 815kg.

So, got an official answer from BMW Switzerland. Spacer will void the warranty because the leverage forces are changing. And 3rd party wheels will also void the warranty.

However, I found some wheels that appear to be OEM wheels. But I can't identify them. Someone any idea what wheels that are?

they seem to be on a new M4, but I can't find them in the configurator.

Those wheels are the 963M -offsets not compatible with the i4.

Thanks for the info! That's a bummer. How do you know it? I have some others that I like, but I'm afraid they won't fit either. Those are the 792M and 800M.
The 963M specs are 9,5Jx19 ET:20 (front), 10,5Jx20 ET:20 (rear).

The biggest i4 wheels are the 868M - 20"x8,5J , ET35 (front), 20"x10J , ET39 (rear).

The 963M offset exceeds the 868M by 27mm in the front, 25mm in the rear.

Your i4 will be a poker.

Thank you very much. So I will have to look out for wheels that aren't much different from the already available ones for the i4......
