Sorry... I though he was the only UK person wanting it.
Whosoever wants it... maybe you can get a beaver tooth each! 🤣

I actually don't like the new grille and thinking to swap it with a different one, if you can wait a couple of days for me to see it in the flesh, you can have mine...
What don't you like about it specifically? Seems like the horizontal lines look better visually and match more with the rest of the front and other lower 'vents', but that's just me?

The lines are too far apart and subtle imo.. I like the more aggressive look of the AliExpress grill far more.

both look better than the pre-LCI grill though imo. Those little floating silver bits near the bottom just never clicked with me.

I like the horizontal lines, It's just too flat. I'm thinking to get a G26 ICE M-Style grill. which is substantially identical but hollow, and blank the top with a carbon fibre sheet

Does anyone have the part number for the grill for cars with DAP but without PAP? All the grilles I've seen so far have the cutout for the front camera, which my car does not have but it does have DAP.

From what I know all grills have the camera hole, but if you don't have the camera there's a little "dimple" that blanks it
at least in all cars I've seen

I had a "preview" of my car today... I actually don't mind the new front grille. It's much "deeper" cut in person than it appears in pictures. the top bit recesses more than the mid bit, like in the old one, the "slats" poke out more than I expected. overall nice.
I think I'll keep it, equally, now I can ask a spare with my VIN number if you like.

Mission completed :)

Pretty happy with the result, thank you for the Part number!

The new licence Plate holder is waiting at the dealer, tomorrow I will mount it as well.

Looks great! I see you used painters tape around to avoid nicks and scratches when popping the old one off. Any pro tips or steps for easy removal? I get nervous will break a tab or nick something lol.

Here are some tips from my side:

  • check the YT-Video linked below, to understand how everything is connected
  • put the new grill in front of you while doing the job to see where the tabs are located
  • buy a proper set of pry tools made of soft plastik (you need at least 4 at the same time)
  • definitely use some tape around every painted corner, since you will apply some force with your pry tool
  • put a flashlight and a little dentist mirror not far away
  • start in the lower area just by using your finger between the bars
  • attached is the sequence i used: the bottom side first, then every kidney from top to the outer side and finally the middle part.
  • don’t be afraid to drive the pry tool in the gaps, you will enlarge the gaps to 5mm or more
  • While doing the upper side: push at least 3 pry bars in the gap above every tab and try to loose 2 or 3 of the tabs at the same time by gently pushing the pry bars deeper
  • i would target warmer temperatures outside, in my case it was 20C
  • No broken tabs or dents or nicks or scratches in my case :)

Good luck

Such a massive improvement over that stock grille. I never liked those dimples/silver bits

P.S. Where did you get the black BMW logo?? Did you find a matching one for the back/wheels??
I wrapped all BMW logos myself. You only need a piece of 3M Film (15€), a heat gun and a cutter (7€). Since I already had a heat gun it was the best solution for me. For the wheels I bought new caps.

If you need the dimensions for the blue rings for DIY please let me know.

They have the quarter circle vinyl thing on ebay/amazon too. Have to measure it before buying. I got it from there one time. They have it for the wheels too.

I just placed my order here stateside for the DAPP + PAP version, so will report back when it arrives.

Also plan to just vinyl cover the radome instead of replacing it for now, we'll see if it looks OK since it seems silly to toss a perfectly good cover...stay tuned!

I had the cover wrapped (and all the silver dots). This should give you an idea what you can expect...
