After arriving home yesterday from running some errands the 03/2025.71 update was "ready to be installed" and completed about 20 minutes later. The 2025 models aren't included in the Canadian recall and there was no mention of the recall in the release notes in the MyBMW app.

I’m assuming I can just follow the same steps in BimmerCode to re-enable anti-dazzle etc in my id8 with laser light. No new changes that block that right?

I have frequently checked thesaurus and no updates at all since I installed the above version.

I have a verybasic i4e35 without any of the more sophisticated driving, parking assistance, but Iwouöd have thought I would get regular updates OTA. I hotheaded car in for some checks late 2024 and there was no updatedone by the dealer either.

I can not find any information either on what difference there is between the different version.

Any pointers on where to find information is welcome

The difference between an e35 and e40 (RWD) is the battery. Typically little else is different on the basic trim until other major options are chosen, such as mSport or xDrive.

There's a couple of words in your post that seem to have been auto-corrected badly, but maybe 'the status' instead of 'thesaurus' and 'had the' for 'hotheaded'?

Apart from that, I'll leave the French members to state if there are newer version that should be available. If your car is a 2024 model year car, it really should have iDrive8.5 and still be getting regular updates, though.

I have checked the car as well as the app and there are no new updates etc for my car. It is a car from 2024 and it has iDrive 8.5. I can see no reason why I should not get updates, but perhaps there are no newer version for my car?? I also think it is an mSport model, but not xdrive.

I also believe that the car should be able to have plug and charge activated, but not the case. Not too worried about that one though since I have found ways of playing out different offers from roaming providers and can get really good deals on DC charging at times

Just adding a data point that I finally got the OTA update this past week (notice on my phone, transfer to car, then upgrade). I was on 07/2024.30 and the upgrade is to 03/2025.71. The recall is mentioned on the phone release notes. Not sure why it took so long to push out to me... (I am on iDrive 8.0.)

I am located in France but I got a German 2025 edrive40 Msport from BMW welt in March. Since then I had updated the car once at the dealer and once OTA ( 03/2025.47). . Keep in mind that I registered the car as a French one ( bmw assistance , connected drive store etc) as soon as I drove it here. I hope that helps.
