I just got the same error right after driving a new i4 e35 off of a dealer lot. The car worked for approximately 2 miles until it started shuddering and jerking while the gas was applied. It could not maintain even 25mph, which is scary when cars are zooming by at 45-55. I pulled over and called the salesman, who came by and encouraged me to nurse the car back. Eventually, the car started petering out to the point where it could not maintain 10mph. In an modest uphill area, the car could not generate enough power to move forward and started rolling back. I solved that by turning the car off/on, which allowed me to get to 5-10 mph. After power cycling the car a few times, we finally made it back to the dealer..Just had this pop this morning but it quickly cleared on its own before we did anything. No error in Check Control Messages and the car starts fine (is that how we still say it?). Called the dealer but haven't heard back yet. I assume we're good to drive but random glitches are always concerning.

What was the resolution after BMW looking into it? Our i4 was sitting in the garage and the error popped after getting in to run an errand. We hadn't driven anywhere or even hit Start. Without intervention, the error cleared on its own within minutes and the car drove fine during a quick drive around the neighborhood.I just got the same error right after driving a new i4 e35 off of a dealer lot. These faults get stored. I encourage you to talk with your Service Center about this. What was the resolution after BMW looking into it? I would want at least 44, but I suspect you'll get 57 or 60 unless they have an even newer one (02/2023, perhaps?).Taking it in this morning. Checked and FWIW, my software is 11/2022.27. We'll see what they say.
No resolution, it's been silent from BMW. This happened last night. What was the resolution after BMW looking into it? WOW! Hopefully they figure it out soon.No news regarding the underlying cause or possible resolution. Whatever happened to pop the error is concerning enough BMW is now sending an engineer to the dealer to investigate first hand. 👀 I guess standard diagnostics aren't shedding enough light. At least I now have a nice X5 loaner (to replace the craptastic 30K mile Camry they first gave me). They're saying end of next week at the earliest.
