I just posted this in another thread. I've had great success with this product in terms of removing any jeans dye transfer to the leather. The dye that's transferred to the leather is easily removed. My wife's car has an oyster color interior and this product has worked great:

Interesting observations for I4 interior options with Sensatec and Vernasca:

-when comparing with real cars I have observed some interesting details when choosing interior design Canberra Beige Sensatec w Black contrast:

Part A surrounding rear vents and climate control is black in digital brochure (DB) and online configurator (OC) but is color-matched with Canberra Beige Sensatec in production (fully black with Vernasca, as well as all other interior colors).

Seat back including net (part B) is color-matched when choosing Sensatec Canberra Beige and black when chosing Vernasca Oyster, as well as all other interior colors (can be seen in DB and cannot be observed in OC).

Belts (C) are color-matched when chosing Sensatec Canberra Beige and black when choosing Vernasca Oyster, as well as all other interior colors.

Door inserts (D) for window buttons are black in real and in OC (but are falsely color matched in DB - true for the 2-door 430i) - always black when choosing Vernasca Oyster, as well as all other interior colors.

Part E is color-matched when choosing Sensatec Canberra Beige and black when choosing Vernasca Oyster, as well as all other interior colors.

Part E only gets stitchings when choosing Sensatec / Vernasca with M sport package (includes M50)...

... and no stitchings on I4 without M sport

Color-matched speaker covers when not upgrading to Harman Kardon (only Sensatec Canberra Beige and Vernasca Oyster)

Car with Vernasca Oyster

Is senatec more yellowish comparing real leather oyster ?
I have been trying to decide but it's very hard to find both in dealers and compare.

Where do you see Oyster in Sensatec?

What I tried to mean is following:
1) Sensatec Beige (Fake Leather)
2) Oyster Varnesca (Real Leather)

Is number 1 more yellowish colored than number 2 ? or they are almost the same ?
Look at it like this: Oyster is white, beige is tan.

Another question.
Do you guys think having oyster varnaesca negatively impacts the resale price comparing pure black sensatech ?
I am just afraid that oyster varnesca will look very bad after 5-6 years of use. Does anyone has any pictures of it just to see how it looks after a long use ?

I don't have experience with oyster but I do have experience with dove gray and I forget what it was called but it was sort of a yellow individual in my E36

Use a good quality cleaner and conditioner regularly and it should be fine. I think Sensatec has a negative impact on resale because there are some people like me that will never buy a BMW that doesn't have leather.

If you end up going with the oyster leather, plan on having the seats re-dyed before selling the vehicle. BMW leather isn’t dyed through the hide, only on the surface. Over time, the surface becomes abraded and dye from your clothing (belts and jeans in particular) will transfer to the seats. You’ll have variable success cleaning the seats using leather cleaner and dye transfer remover. If you rub too hard, you’ll unintentionally remove the dye itself.

My M8 has a light colored Merino leather interior and the seats were professionally ceramic coated shortly after purchase. Keeping them clean is still a challenge and I am the only one in the car. Without hesitation, my i4 will have a SensaTec interior.

If you were going with black leather, I wouldn’t hesitate. Oyster is an entirely different consideration. I agree that a high-end BMW needs to have a leather interior, however, the i4 is more middle of the road and SensaTec should be just fine.

Unless you point it out, most buyers will have difficulty recognizing that the interior isn’t leather. There are more people who wouldn’t buy a preowned BMW if the interior showed signs of wear. That’s why the dealer typically refinishes the seats before a car is offered for resale. I’m confident that Tesla wouldn’t be offering white interiors if they were using “real” leather.

My wife's car has a leather interior with a color very similar to oyster. After 12,000 miles it looks brand new. As Techwhiz1 said, use a good cleaner and you should have no problems. The cleaner I use gets the bluejeans dye transfer right out. For me that's the biggest issue with light colored seats, dye transfer, and a good cleaner removes it.

Don’t hold back! What do you use?

check this car. Not much difference I would say.

Sensatec is more durable, and people get more and more conscious to buy animal-free interiors - especially when buying low emission EVs. The combo EV + sensatec matches the eco spirit and, whether some like it or not, that is a trending demand that will not decline. I miss the leather odor, but you can buy some good products for that demand.

My best guess is that people will prefer to buy a used car with like-new interior and lower carbon footprint than a car with stretched leather seats with less longevity.

I eat meat so no need to let a good hide go to waste.

(according to online configurator (OC):

When looking at configurator today for sensatec beige I notice the seat belts are black (not beige) and also all plastic parts on neckrests, back part of center console etc are black (probably also rear plastic parts of front seats which would be welcome).

Is this a bug in configurator or a change for MY2023?

This UK owner has an issue with standard i4 Sport and M Sport seats. I think they are described as "cloth" but are probably alcantara and sensatec. See video at 10 minutes. Any UK owners here have a view on the UK standard seats?

It sounds like he is confusing the sensatec for leather, and the Alcantara for sensatec. My suspicion is that when he says that he's had leather in 6 prior cars, some or many have been sensatec.

I think it's probably true that Alcantara is not great for long drives, since it's more about keeping you planted during spirited driving. No Alcantara options in the US anyway. I might have optioned it if I had the chance. I liked the synthetic suede in the Audi etron gt, although did not like that I was limited to gray/black.

I only want the Oyster so I have to go with leather and it also forces you to get the premium which I didn't want (don't need heated seats and steering wheel in S.Cal, it's 103 today!)
I would have gotten the sensatec if they had Oyster. I would have considered the beige but I think the center console is really ugly not in Black like all of the other interiors.

This is oyster leather in my 2011 3 series, 102K miles, taken just a couple months ago. I have had the car detailed every few years since I bought it. Minimal care in between. Some wear, but not too bad. The little bit of yellow is from the window tint, it looks white to the eye.
I have oyster again in my i4, and it's beautiful!
